I'm working on setting up some interviews, so look for some new features up here in the next few days or whatever.

NBA
:: Fox Sports (USA): Jefferson sprains knee, will miss 2-3 weeks - Minnesota's Al Jefferson sprained his right MCL in a pick-up game on Thursday. He'll be gimped up for 2-3 weeks but will be back to 100% ahead of schedule. Quote of the week goes to T-Wolves Assistant GM Fred Hoiberg:
When you have a heart condition and your heart stops for a minute, it's not a good thing.

:: Dime Mag: Rounding out the lineup - Five players GM's should look for to finish off their bench: Shaun Livingston, Sam Cassel, Robert Horry, Bonzi Wells, Dikembe Mutumbo. Isn't Mutumbo in his early 90's?

:: Inside Hoops: Kyle Kover will attempt world record kickball - Kyle "Punk'd" Korver will play in a world record kickball game in an attempt to raise $10,000. Kyle, I'll give you $10k, to learn to play defense.

NBL
:: Cairns.co.au: Taipans set for shootout - Cairns is set to host the Gold Coast Blaze, who haven't suited up yet this season, in what could be a pretty high scoring game.

:: Sportal: Rob Blasts Players - Spirit head coach Rob Beveridge isn't real thrilled with his squad. But I think for his team, a ten point loss to the Tigers is a good result at this point in the competition. Give the youngsters a chance to put it together.

Europe
:: Ball in Europe: NBA Europe Fans: Sorry - The NBA has a handful of games scheduled for October. But all games feature NBA teams and no EuroLeague squads. The schedule:
Paris, Thursday, October 9th: Miami Heat - New Jersey Nets
London, Sunday, October 12th: New Jersey Nets - Miami Heat
Berlin, Tuesday, October 14th: Washington Wizards - New Orleans Hornets
Bacrelona, Friday, October 17th. New Orleans Hornets - Washington Wizards

:: CSKA Basket: Mike Brown: It is better for Kaun to play under Messina - Cavaliers' coach Mike Brown did an interview for Russia's PROsport magazine. Good read.

:: FIBA: Delfino out with finger injury - Carlos Delfino is on the shelf. He injured his finger in a BC Khimki friendly against Lokomotiv Rostov and is expected to miss about 3 weeks.
