Sep 6, 2008 | 2:15 PM | Brian Cuban Banned from Digg

The Cuban Revolution will not be Digged. Brian Cuban, who's the brother of Dallas Mavericks owner and HDNet founder Mark Cuban, was banned from Digg for TOS violations.

From the horse's mouth:
I have been banned from Digg. I have been given a Digg death sentence with no reprieve. I have been banned after 30k diggs, 40+ front page submissions and 500 comments.

I had no idea such egregious offenses were being perpetrated by a member of the NBA family (extended). I'm sitting here truly heartbroken that the author of the influential piece Why Athletes Go Broke has completely broken our trust by violating Digg TOS.

I've never used Digg, something about being a very small fish in a large, epic sized ocean. But using similar services like BallHype & Yardbarker, I understand the temptation to be all that you can be.

Hopefully if WHB does start churning out those redunkulous numbers, I'll keep it above the board. But who's to say that in a Who's Mad Popular game, I won't start cutting corners?

The ban can't be too bad for Bri-Bri, his heartfelt confession was pulling in on 2300 Diggs (as of Saturday, 3:15PM EST). Maybe a case of bad publicty, good for traffic. Right now I would kill to get 2300 hits total. But for one article to be read 2300 times. I do believe I would sell my mother. Hear that moms? Step up your dinner game and we'll renegotiate your contract.
